Η Διεθνής Αμνηστία, η γνωστή οργάνωση, συνεργάστηκε με τον Bob Dylan για ένα δίσκο από τις πωλήσεις μέρος των εσόδων θα διατεθούν για τους σκοπούς της οργάνωσης.
Το σημαντικό της είδησης δεν είναι, φυσικά, η κυκλοφορία του δίσκου, αλλά το γεγονός ότι το box set που θα κυκλοφορήσει θα περιέχει τέσσερα cd στα οποία θα ακούγονται 75 τραγούδια του Dylan με πλήθος ερμηνευτών.
Adele, Elvis Costello, Sting, Joan Baez, Ke$ha, Mark Knopfler, Diana Krall, Lenny Kravitz, Ziggy Marley, Chris Christofferson, Maroon 5, My Chemical Romance, Patti Smith, Pete Townshend είναι μερικοί μόνο από τους καλλιτέχνες που ερμηνεύουν τα τραγούδια του Bob Dylan.
Στον δίσκο συμμετέχουν αρκετοί υποστηρικτές της Διεθνούς Αμνηστίας που φέτος γιορτάζει τα 50 της χρόνια. Οι ηλικίες των καλλιτεχνών ξεκινάνε από τα 19 χρόνια της Miley Cyrus και φτάνουν τα 92 του Pete Seeger!
Η συλλογή έχει τίτλο “Chimes Of Freedom” και πέραν των διάσημων ερμηνευτών, στις ηχογραφήσεις συμμετείχαν πάρα πολλοί μουσικοί, παραγωγοί και τεχνικοί που πρόσφεραν τις υπηρεσίες τους δωρεάν.
Το “Chimes Of Freedom” θα κυκλοφορήσει στις 27 Ιανουαρίου και στα τέσσερα cd περιέχονται τα κατωτέρω τραγούδια:
