UPCOMING NEW RELEASES: WHATS COMING OUR WAY???
anyone know who is releasing a new record soon, is in the process of recording one or has completed one to be released?
Sofia Strati with her new album insisting on covers this time killing "Unfaithful" by Rihanna. Also her song from the Cyprus final of Eurovision should be included on the album.
Except new records by all Eurovision hopefulls and "Femme Fatale" by Evdokia Kadi (Cyprus entry).
We still wait for Vissi's return (rumours say about an English-languaged album is ready and the promotion will begin shorty while the greek album prepared since 2006 is on hault for now).
Remos is been working on his new album (probubly will include the song "Mila Mou" by Stelios Pissis and songs by Antonis Vardis).
Konstantinos Hristoforou will be releasing a summer-single in February (!) and Giorgos Papadopoulos (a new talent from Cyprus) will be releasing his debut album (after 3 singles in Cyprus) in February from Virus Records.
Also we expect new songs from Marianta Pieridi (also from Virus).

I really don't know where Vissi is going to promote her new English album to. In the US, hip-hop and R&B is in style. It will be very hard for her to crack that. As for a Greek album, she is actually smart for WAITING until atleast fall to release one. She needed to disappear a while from Greece which is exactly what she did. Now she can begin to work on a GOOD Greek album to come back with a strong comeback in the fall.
About other artists releasing albums, both Evridiki and Dimitris Korgialas will be releasing new albums. I believe Marianta Pieridi will release a new one soon too. Annette Artani is going to release a new Greek and English album, as well as a comeback of Manto with new Greek and English albums. Look out for a new album by Kelekidou too....Sarbel is also expected to release a new album this spring. He has already started working on it. And we cant forget Elena Paparizou who will release a Greek album March or April. :D Who else....?

The 'Cypriot Collection' is a British based album of Cypriot talented artists - a great new release.
The songs already receiving good air-play on the UK's LGR radio station.
Many Cypriot talents are included. The basic concept is traditional folk songs from Cyprus but with a main difference. Their translation into English.
